MOPS KIDS VOLUNTEERING
THE MOPS KIDS VOLUNTEER
- MOPS Kids workers are more than babysitters. They keep children entertained and safe, but their main mission is to serve both children and mom. MOPS Kids workers may be the only people who tell a child how much Jesus loves them. Understanding this ministry vision will help you build a dedicated group of workers.
WHO IS A MOPS KIDS VOLUNTEER?
- Committed to providing quality care. They may be women, men, seniors or teenagers. Our group is able to keep the care as volunteer only and not paid! Whoever they are, workers should demonstrate a love for young children and an understanding of their eternal worth.
- Fun-loving and adaptable. Whether it's getting down on the floor or sitting in a chair nearby with the kids, the genuine motivation of the worker is to take opportunity to tell children that Jesus loves them.
- Dependable. We prepare the volunteers by helping them understand the importance of their role in the lives of moms and children. Clearly communicating our expectations for them (preparation of materials, arrival time, church child care policies, and absences.) Workers who show up on time, follow through with the lesson, and notify us as soon as possible when there is a problem, helps the MOPS Kids program run smoothly.
